What is Reiki?
Reiki comes from the Japanese words “rei” (meaning universal) and ki” (meaning life energy). Reiki is an energy healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Technique: This is done with the individual fully clothed and laying down. If an individual is not comfortable being touched, this can be done using a hands-off method where the hands are placed slightly above the body.
