3/18/20 General Note for Guests, Volunteers and Public Regarding Curbside Pickup

Badger Prairie Needs Network (BPNN) will re-open Thursday, March 19th at Noon with pre-packaged food and curbside pick-up for our guests. BPNN’s pantry typically provides guests choices when picking up food. This will no longer be possible with curbside pick-up. We will do our best to create packages with a variety of healthy food.

We anticipate high volume and ask for patience. We are practicing social distancing, and limiting the number of people in the building. Pantry guests will be instructed to remain in line in their cars until they reach the front of the line, and only exit their car when guided through registration and food pickup by a volunteer. When picking up food, do not bring children or extra guests with you. Only one person will be allowed to enter the building to register.

We expect long lines initially and ask for your patience as we work to support our community.

Answers to some frequently asked questions:

      1. All guests must provide an ID for the head of the household.
      2. New pantry shoppers should bring an ID for the head of the household and a document showing residence (example: utility bill).
      3. Do not bring children or extra guests with you. Waits may be long. Only one person will be allowed to enter the building.
      4. At this time, we are stocked with enough food to help families once each month.  Please call 2-1-1 if you are having a food emergency. Watch local news or call 2-1-1 for updates to this information.
      5. We will do our best to provide a similar quantity of food to families that we have in the past.  Of course, this is based on availability.
      6. At this time guests will not be able to make specific food choices. Boxes and bags will be pre-packaged and available for curbside pick-up.
      7. For the foreseeable future we will no longer be able to offer hallway shopping for any members of the community, including our registered guests.

Respuestas a algunas preguntas frecuentes:

3. No traiga niños o personas adicionales con usted. Las esperas pueden ser largas. Solo una persona podrá ingresar al edificio.

Badger Prairie Needs Network has been closely monitoring growing concerns in Madison and Dane County regarding COVID-19.

The health and safety of everyone who comes through our doors is our number one concern. We are taking all precautions necessary to keep our guests and volunteers safe. If you are a guest or volunteer of BPNN, we urge you to stay home if you are feeling sick.

The CDC recommends the following to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:

        • Frequently wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
        • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow.
        • Clean frequently touched objects and surfaces.
        • Stay home when sick.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates through our website, social media, and voicemail system as necessary. Thank you for your support and understanding during this time.
