Senior Center Closed: In our attempt to keep the higher-risk population that we serve healthy and avoid exposure to the COVID-19 virus the Senior Center will be closed to the public until further notice. The senior center is low on staff, time and resources so we are providing services to those that can’t provide for themselves. Please be mindful of this.

Food and Supply Resources:

Here are some resources in Verona to get food and supplies. We are here to help if you cannot get what you need on your own.

Dane County Delivers – Senior Grocery Solutions – Call: 608-294-8747. Free grocery deliveries to seniors 60+ and individuals with disabilities in Dane County. Call to order your essential groceries and payment will be accepted by check in person or by card over the phone. Donations are accepted. 

Miller’s Grocery Store – 608-845-6478. Store is open and people can do online orders with 24 hour notice, curbside pick up. They are only taking phone orders on Wednesdays from 6am-4pm for Thursday deliveries to those who have regularly used this service only. No weekly sales items until further notice.

Festival Foods – 833-924-1101. Store is open and people can call in small essential orders only for curb pick up. They do have online shopping available as well.

Badger Prairie Needs Network – Drive thru pick up only during regular business hours (below). Bring ID. No cost. Increased to 2 visits per household, per month through April. Arrive 45 minutes before close and expect a wait. No community meals. Updates are made with 211. Badger Prairie Needs Network Hours:

Monday- 10am-Noon, Tuesday- 10am-Noon, Wednesday- Closed,

Thursday- 11am-6:30pm, Friday- 10am-Noon, Saturday- 10am-12:30pm,

Sunday- Closed


Food Insecurity: If you are at risk of not having enough food in the next week please call a case manager, see below. We are working with Badger Prairie Needs Network.

Transit Updates: Transit is offering rides within the City of Verona for essential travel only. This would include a ride to the grocery store for local & essential medical appointments. Please call your case manager to arrange a ride (numbers above).
