Homemade Granola Making Class

Use What You Have Granola

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Dry ingredients

* 3 cups uncooked oats

* 1/3 cup wheat germ, flaxseed, chia seeds or hemp seeds or more oats (1/3 cup total)

* 1/3 cup sunflower seeds or other seeds

* 2/3 cup chopped nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts or other nuts)

* 2 tsp cinnamon

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.

Melt the following ingredients over low heat.

* 1/4 cup honey

* 1/4-1/2 cup brown sugar

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

* 2 tsp vanilla extract

Pour the melted mixture over the dry mixture and stir well.

Spread evenly on greased baking sheet and bake 20-35 min, checking a few times during baking

Other fun add ins:

· Chocolate chips

· Protein powder

· Raisins or dried fruit

· Pumpkin seeds

· Quinoa
