November 2020 – Updates from the Director

Thank you for all your patience as we navigate our new “normal” together. As you already know, we are offering a combination of in-house and virtual events. Both types of programs require registration. If you call the Senior Center and no one answers please leave a message. Phone and email messages are checked regularly and someone will call you back if assistance if needed. (i.e. “I’d like to sign up for xyz program”) In addition, please stay connected as programs are subject to change at any time. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Veteran’s Day

As you may have guessed our Veteran’s day celebration will look very different this year. Due to COVID-19 we will be unable to gather in person however we are still planning to celebrate all our local heroes. This year a local veteran has put together a wonderful slideshow honoring our local veterans for their service. This and a flag ceremony will be show on the local Verona TV channel starting Wednesday, November 18th.

In addition, we are offering a free drive up meal for veterans on Wednesday, November 11th between 12-1pm. To reserve your meal please call the Senior Center at 608-845-7471. Spouses, family members and friends can also partake in this meal for the cost of $5/meal. Meal will include a cup of chicken noodle soup and a roast turkey and cheddar sandwich. Please RSVP by Friday, November 6th at 12pm.

Be well,
Stephanie Ehle, Director
