Come enjoy coffee and donuts with our local officers and hear what is going on in Verona and the surrounding areas. This will be an outdoor event held on our patio, weather permitting. If there is inclement weather, we will offer coffee and donuts in our drive up.

The majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, including from the home medicine cabinet. Make your home a safer place and help reduce the rates of prescription drug abuse in our community by cleaning out your medicine cabinet!


Important information about the Drug Take Back Event:

      • They can take unused, unwanted, and/or expired prescription drug medication.
      • Please empty all pills into a clear plastic baggie, prior to the event, for easy disposal.
      • Prescription liquids and creams must be in their original packaging material.
      • Non-prescription and personal hygiene products cannot be accepted.
      • For safety reasons, we will not accept sharps, inhalers (or anything under pressure).

It’s time for our annual CAR CHECK/CAR FIT event. Stop by Hometown Auto Clinic on Friday, October 5th from 8 am-11:00 am to have your vehicle inspected and fluids changed free. Occupational Therapy students from Madison College will be on hand to make sure that your car fits you correctly. FitchRona EMS will be offering blood pressure checks, and as always there will be plenty of coffee and doughnuts while you wait. This Triad event sponsored by Hometown Auto, RSVP, Verona Police, Senior Center, FitchRona EMS and the Dane County Sheriff’s Department. Thanks to Hometown Auto, Madison College and Kwik Trip for providing hot coffee!

  • dementia friendly communities,

  • diversity & reducing conflict,
  • old & alone: strategies for connection
    • (social and community resources to include social media and activity groups)

Come and meet Drea, Verona’s very own Police K9 and her handler & partner Officer Matt Kile.  Drea will demonstrate how she sniffs out narcotics, and Officer Kile will discuss how Drea works to help the Verona Police Department solve cases and prevent crime.  Officer Kile and K9 Drea will be here on Wednesday,  August 1 at 12:30.  We won’t “hound” you about it, but we do hope to see you there!
