Transit Solutions is available for rides within Verona, Monday through Friday, between 9:30 am-1:30 pm (last ride must be done at 2 pm). Call 845-7471 by 12:00 pm the day before to schedule rides. Rides are first call, first served, so calling more ahead of time is welcomed. Note: Up-to-date ride requirements such as masks and spacing will be posted.

Dane County Delivers: Senior Grocery Solutions
Call 608-294-8747
Free grocery deliveries to seniors 60+ and individuals with disabilities in Dane County. Call to order your essential groceries and payment will be accepted by check in person or by card over the phone.

Donations are accepted.

 

 

Food and Supply Resources:

 

Miller’s Grocery Store – 608-845-6478. Store is open. Online orders (for curbside pick up) are backed up 2-3 weeks.

No weekly sales items until further notice. Deliveries for regular delivery customers only.

 

Festival Foods – 833-924-1101. Store is open and people can call in small essential orders only for curb
pick up. They do have online shopping available as well.

 

Badger Prairie Needs Network – Drive thru pick up only during regular business hours (below). Bring ID. No cost. Increased to 2 visits per household, per month through April, check website or contact
BPNN regarding May. Arrive 45 minutes before close and expect a wait. No community meals. Updates are made with 211.

Senior Transportation in Verona

 

Low-cost transportation details:

 

  • Pick up/drop off at your Verona home
  • Shared rides – space is limited
  • Monday-Friday 10 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Wednesday rides are limited to Miller’s Grocery Store & trips to the Senior Center for lunch or nurse visits (There are now 2 vans on Wednesdays & one van prioritizes trips to Millers)
  • Wheelchair accessible van
  • Riders must be City of Verona residents
  • Destinations within Verona City limits
  • Maximum of 2 stops per person/per trip
  • Round trip to the Senior Center $1.00
  • Round trip to other Verona sites $2.00
  • Please pay the van driver directly
  • Must live independently in your own home or apartment
