Update from Badger Prairie Needs Network (BPNN) 4/13/2020

Good Morning,

I hope you are all staying safe and well during these strange times. First of all, on behalf of all of us at BPNN, thank you so very much for your continued support of BPNN. Your support always means so much to us but never more than during this time of crisis. We simply could not be doing what we do without your help and support. Thank you.

BPNN continues to be open and running though with some changes. We recognize that more people may be needing our services in the days ahead so please pass this information on to your members. You may have members who have never used the food pantry before but may need to now. The following are some updates/changes.

The BPNN food pantry continues to operate during  the same hours as before. The hours are listed on our website bpnn.org. The building, however, is closed to patrons. To drop off donations for the pantry, come to the back door during pantry hours and ring the bell. A volunteer will come to receive your donation. Those using the food pantry will drive up to the front door where a volunteer will bring food to them and load the food into their car.

  • During this time of crisis the food pantry will be open to anyone in Dane County.
  • Patrons may come to use the food pantry twice/month during this time of crisis.
  • Community meals and mending day have been suspended during the stay at home order time.

For safety reasons, the food pantry is currently not accepting food donations. We are, however, in need of and accepting donations of the following:

    • toothbrushes and toothpaste
    • shampoo
    • toilet paper
    • diapers, especially sizes 4,5, and 6
    • monetary donations so we can bulk purchase laundry detergent and bar soap

We will gladly accept monetary donations to help us purchase the needed food during this time of increased use of the pantry.
More volunteers are needed! Please visit our website for more information and to volunteer.

    Thank you,
    Kristi Johnson
