Weather Reminders
The City of Verona believes that providing a public warming and cooling center during extreme temperature conditions will help protect citizens that would otherwise be exposed to those extreme conditions.   Because of this, both the Senior Center and the Verona Public Library have been designated warming and cooling centers. Both buildings will be open even when Verona schools are closed. If the Senior Center does close, we will update our website, phones, and social media as soon as possible.

Meal Cost Increase
Starting in January 2023, the cost of the Grab & Go meals will increase to $7/meal. As a reminder, meals are provided by TNT Catering and can be eaten in-house or picked up via drive thru. For all the details about meals, please visit pages 22 and 23 in the Chronicle.

Remembrance Tree
This year the Verona Senior Center will offer a way to honor and remember our loved ones. Personalized ornaments will be sold for $5 each and hung on the tree for the month of December. After the holidays the ornaments can be taken home as a keepsake. The money from purchases will go be used towards Senior Center programs.

We will be selling cardinal ornaments. Many spiritual people will tell you that a cardinal also represents death or afterlife. Reports from loved ones and hospice workers often state that a cardinal appears just before or after a death, or that a cardinal frequently visits or appears in dreams after the loss of a loved one.
